This used air cleaner system not only traps up to 98% of all dust particles as minute as 5 microns and up to 94% of particles as small as 1 micron; it prevents accumulation of dust on every surface, so common in wood shops. The two-stage filter model has a 4.2 amp two-speed motor that will filter the air at a maximum rate of 540 cfm. Based on the manufacturer’s recommended filter rate of 6 to 10 air exchanges per hour, this unit is suitable for rooms of 26′ x 26′ x 8′. The unit has two filtration stages; the first consists of a washable polyurethane foam pre-filter in a metal frame, and the second is a 6-pocket bag filter assembly of woven polyester. The motor has two speeds ? high speed when dust is being created and low speed for continuous use. The steel box (20″ wide by 25″ long by 11″ deep) is supplied with eye bolts for ceiling mounting. The double squirrel cage fans are factory balanced and the motors have thermal overload protection.
