If your operations requires a saw that offers large capacity combined with precision accuracy, all on a production basis; then this used RT-40 14″ tilting arbor saw is for you! It’s loaded with quality features to meet your most demanding requirements; 4-1/2″ depth of cut, 3-1/8″ at 45 degrees (will accommodate a 16″ blade, providing a bigger 5-1/2″depth of cut, 4-1/8″ at 45 degrees), a powerful 7-1/2Hp motor will handle the hardest wood. Housed inside a heavy, fabricated steel cabinet, drive system is powered by a totally enclosed, fan cooled motor. Double v-belt drive can be set for speeds of 3,000 and 4,500 rpm for best cutting performance. Motor plate, trunnions and arbor support bracket are constructed of cast iron for solid support and vibration-free operation at the saw arbor. Arbor runs on pre-lubricated, sealed ball bearings and rises to the correct height and angle by a rack and worm screw operating mechanism. Saw blade stops are adjustable from the top of the table, assure a perfect 90 degrees and 45 degrees settings. All operating controls are up-front for easy operation. A large diameter handwheel operates blade raising mechanism. Lock knob on handwheels secures blade at desired height. Massive, extra-large table is 43″ x 59″ in size, providing extra support for handling large stock. Table is heavily ribbed to prevent warping and distortion.
