The Beaver 18″ Scroll Saw provides the hobbyist and craftsman with a complete, ready to operate machine with the fine engineering principles, quality workmanship and finish. Built-in universal motor, switch, cord, plug, tilt-top table with angle scale. Base over-arm are cast iron enclosing the motor, gear-box housing, air pump, and electric wiring. Four holes are provided in the base for bolting to a bench. Cast iron cast table, with a ground surface, is mounted on double trunnions for rigidity and accuracy. It can be tilted 45 degrees either way and embodies an angle scale. Universal chuck allow use of all 6” standard blades and saber blades. Long work ban be cut by turning the chucks 90 degrees. The upper guide is fully adjustable and is comprised of a blade backing roller and a spring hold down. It can be turned 90 degrees to permit cutting long work. A blade backing bar, adjustable to blade widths, is mounted on the underside of the table. The drive-box mechanism is sealed in an oil bath and is directly connected to the motor by means of the gear and pinion.
