Featuring rugged dependability, this used General hollow chisel mortiser specializes in high quality work. You’ll find it handling punishing work-loads in practically every type of woodworking plant. The compound type table tilts right of left for angle mortising. Horizontal movement is controlled by a handwheel operating a rack and pinion arrangement. Accurate gauging is achieved by two adjustable stops. A handwheel controls cross-traverse movement. Table knee is moved on the dovetail by a hand crank and two spiral gears. The machine can be easily converted to a single borer by removing the chisel holder which, when replaced on the head, automatically re-locates concentric with the bit through a tongue and groove arrangement.
